WireGuard is a fast, modern, and secure Virtual Private Network solution that has become a popular choice for connecting devices across the internet.

But once a WireGuard interface is up, how do you know things are actually working as expected?

Fire up wg and you are presented with a wall of raw text. Handy for inspecting a single connection, but not exactly the friendliest way to keep an eye on the health of your tunnels.

WireGuard Monitor is a terminal user interface based application, written in Rust, that presents the status of a hosts WireGuard connections in a clear, organised terminal display.

All known peers are listed alongside their encrypted transfer and receive rates. Inactive peers (those not seen communicating for some time) can be hidden with a single key press, letting you focus on the connections that actually matter.

Application source code for the project is available in Forgejo.
