Built in October 2015 over a weekend for the #JS48 - Episode 1 Game Jam using the PhaserJS framework. Run over a 48 hour time frame the competition provided a designated theme "Mad Science" given to entrants the start time. Trying to design and build a HTML5 game from the top down to defined theme within a 48 hour time frame was an amazing challenge.

The gameplay was originally planned around the player being required to pickup the elements by group on the Periodic Table e.g all Noble Gases etc in order to clear a level. Unfortunately 6 hours out from the competition deadline the gameplay was not going to be finished in time.

So a decision was made try and to simplify the game mechanic. With any element picked up providing score points. But at the same time also speeding up the asteroid spawn rate to challenge the player.
